The application process has started for the scholarship scheme to be run by ONGC Foundation of ONGC Limited, a public sector company under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India. According to the advertisement published by ONGC Foundation in the latest Employment News (Week 28 January to 3 February 2023), under the ONGC Scholarship Scheme 2023, candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) IWS) A total of 2000 students of general categories will be given scholarship of Rs 48 thousand annually. 50% of these scholarships are reserved for girl students.

Only those students who belong to the prescribed categories can apply for the ONGC Scholarship Scheme 2023 and who have been enrolled in Engineering, MBBS as well as MBA and Masters degree in Geology and Geophysics during the academic year 2021-23. On the other hand, the selection of the students to get the benefits for the ONGC Scholarship Scheme will be done on the basis of marks in the qualifying exam of their respective course.
